The Manitoba Corn Growers Association, Manitoba Pulse Growers Association, the National Sunflowers Association of Canada, in partnership with Manitoba Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiatives joined together in 2007 to host the first Manitoba Special Crops Symposium. This event brings together producers and industry representatives in one venue to discuss marketing, agronomy and pest management issues. The success of the Symposium is evident in both the increasing number of exhibitors and attendees, now attracting over 800 producers, industry representatives and media from various areas in the special crops sector.

The event features concurrent session speakers on corn, sunflower, edible beans and soybeans as well as a trade show  and the 2013 Annual General Meetings for MCGA, MPGA and NSAC. The symposium committee is pleased to announce, Elaine Froese and Drew Lerner as our keynote speakers on Wednesday, February 6th and 7th, 2013.
